Listed below are the 2013 Local Scholarships. Please read carefully and note the descriptions of each scholarship. Applications for every scholarship may be accessed directly through this page.
When applying, consider the following tips:
**Important: Request transcripts using the Local Scholarship Transcript Request form. Return it to the NHS Guidance Office. (Transcripts will be available for pick up within 24 hours of your request.)**
Noblesville High School PTO Scholarship
About: A $500 scholarship will be awarded to a graduating senior from Noblesville High School. This scholarship should be used for continuing education at any post secondary institution.

Watercolor Society of Indiana: James C. Lentz Memorial Scholarship
About: Today’s art students are tomorrow’s fine artists. The Watercolor Society of Indiana is proud to invest in the future of art by awarding a yearly scholarship to help a promising art student with rising tuition costs. The Board of Governors James C. Lentz scholarship will be awarded to a high school senior who is pursuing a degree in either fine arts or fine arts education from a college, university, or school of design, and who will graduate from an Indiana high school. WSI will consider fine arts to be “work produced or intended primarily for beauty rather than utility; something requiring highly developed techniques and skills.” The scholarship award of $1,000 will be paid directly to the college or university attended by the award winner.

- Follow directions explicitly
- Type applications whenever possible
- Make sure applications are neat, complete, and submitted on or before the due date
- Be aware of to whom and where the applications are to be returned
- Give teachers, counselors, administrators, & community members ample time to write letters of recommendation (provide an envelope with the scholarship name, your name, and due date)
- Don’t forget your transcript
- See your counselor with any questions

Criteria:
- Selection of recipient will be based on school and community service as well as financial need.
- Scholastic achievement is important but not the lone factor. (cumulative gpa of 2.5 or above)
- The recipient should demonstrate a good mental attitude and good citizenship.

Indiana American Water: Noblesville Operations Environmental/Earth Sciences Scholarship
Deadline: April 29, 2013
Criteria:
- Based on academic achievement, school and community activities, and employment experience
- Major related to environmental or earth sciences

- Based on completed application form, portfolio, artist’s statement, letter of recommendation and transcript

Randy Noble Band Booster Scholarship
Deadline: Completed applications should be submitted at the audition. Auditions will be held after school on May 2, 2013.
Criteria:
- Must have participated in school band or guard
- Must attend a 2- or 4-year post secondary program
- Must plan on continuing their involvement in music at the collegiate level
- Must audition with a prepared solo highlighting varied skill for music department faculty
